Holly Lazo

Holly Cruz Lazo is a community advocate and Senior at University of South Florida. At the age of 15, Holly was taken from her family and placed into foster care. Her teenage years were spent in three foster homes and two group homes. Today, Holly works to prevent families from entering the foster care system in her role as an Adult Emergency Financial Assistance Specialist for 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares. Holly is majoring in criminal justice and minoring in psychology. After she graduates from college, she plans to attend law school at Stetson University specializing in immigration and family law. Holly has always been interested in advocating for people's rights and became interested in practicing law very early in her life. It is her dream to fight for the voiceless and be their voice.
