Title

I’m Avalon, a Bachelor of Social Work student at the University of South Florida. I have a strong passion for child welfare, advocacy, and creating meaningful change for children and families. I’m particularly interested in the policies and systems that shape the experiences of youth in foster care and the ways those systems can be improved to better support young people.

Before joining Cetera, last year, I worked as a Direct Support Professional at Sevita, providing hands-on care and support to adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. That experience strengthened my patience, communication skills, and my commitment to treating every individual with dignity and compassion. Currently, I'm a server and attend USF. 

I’m excited to join Cetera as an intern and gain hands-on experience working with and learning from professionals who are dedicated to supporting foster youth. I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to connect my social work education with meaningful, real-world work. I'm very excited to contribute to a mission I care deeply about.
